Terms of Service

The agreement

By creating an account or using the platform, the school agrees to these terms. Where a school has signed a separate written agreement with us, that agreement takes precedence wherever the two conflict.

Accounts and access

The school is responsible for the accounts it creates, for assigning appropriate roles, and for revoking access when a staff member or student leaves. Credentials must not be shared between people.

Each account holder is responsible for keeping their password confidential and for telling the school promptly if they believe an account has been compromised.

Acceptable use

The platform must not be used to:

• Break the law, or infringe someone else's rights.
• Upload malicious code, or attempt to gain access to records or accounts beyond those the assigned role permits.
• Probe, load-test or disrupt the service, or circumvent its security controls.
• Resell or redistribute access to the platform without our written agreement.

School data

The school retains ownership of the records it enters. We claim no ownership of student, staff or financial data, and we use it only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

The school is responsible for the accuracy of what it enters and for having the legal basis to enter it — particularly for student records.

Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance for the billing period selected at signup. Unless stated otherwise at the point of purchase, fees are non-refundable for a period already begun.

A subscription may be cancelled at any time; access continues until the end of the period already paid for. We will give notice before any change to pricing takes effect.

Availability

We work to keep the platform available and to keep data intact, but the service is provided as-is and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, updates and factors outside our control can all interrupt access.

Where a specific uptime commitment is required, it must be agreed in a separate written service-level agreement.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, or for non-payment, and will give reasonable notice where circumstances allow it. A school may stop using the platform at any time.

On termination the school may request an export of its data; see the Privacy Policy for how records are handled afterwards.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the fees paid for it in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

The precise limits and the governing jurisdiction are set out in the written agreement signed with each school.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service develops. Material changes will be notified through the platform before they take effect, and the date above will be updated. Continued use after that point constitutes acceptance.
